Hey there, I�m Jen and since you�re here, whether it is on purpose or it was an

accident, I am taking the responsibility of blowing your mind with the following web

page.  It was designed by myself, all �articles� present were written by myself unless

noted otherwise.  As far as pictures go, most of them have been downloaded from

another web page, but as you go on to view them you will see that I have added my own

twist to most of them.





 The Shrinking Pumpkins? 



	The band we all know as  The Smashing

Pumpkins, has been recently nicknamed, The Shrinking Pumpkins (Rolling Stone

Magazine, issue 788-June 11, 1998; Greg Kot) due to the non-stop loss of band members

and band replacements. 



	During their Mellon Collie Tour, the band sadly lost touring keyboardist,

Jonathan Melvoin & was therefore forced with the decision to  fire drummer, Jimmy

Chamberlin.  Many of the Pumpkins� fans looked on at this as the end, however, many

saw a new beginning, as did Corgan.  Granted, there was sorrow in this loss I�m sure, the

band found the strength to move on and continue a tour, which I was lucky enough to see

some of.  Matt Walker, of Filter, was brought in to replace Chamberlin for the remainder

of the tour and I am happy to say, was awesome at doing so.



	This new beginning for the Pumpkins started in 1996 with the production of

�Eye�, featured on the Lost Highway soundtrack.  �Eye� had a

different sound that the fans were not expecting but soon grew attached to and loved. 

Soon after the Pumpkins were to be heard on the Batman & Robin soundtrack (The End

is The Beginning is The End & The Beginning is The End is The Beginning).  These

songs too, like �Eye�, were different than that which was expected, of course that is what

the Pumpkins are all about, they�ll work you into one style then blow your mind with

another.  This is probably why they achieve more and more fans as they go.  Corgan and

colleagues have learned how to reach different music levels all at once which is a talent

not gained by many.

	

	Newly released is �Adore�, the new 16 track album which is a mixture of all the

music the Pumpkins have produced in the past.  The first song to be released, Ava Adore,

has gained much popularity in the US and soon to be world wide for sure.  Boosting the

popularity of the song and album as well, is the video for Ava Adore.  The video and

song have an almost evil twist.  The band members(Billy Corgan, D�arcy & James Iha)

are presented in the video as very mysterious and almost seem non-human.  The make-up

makes all three members look dead(very pale, very lean), which has become very popular

with the presence of bands such as Marilyn Manson.
